 https://youtu.be/s6PTzo66fsg REFLECTION :  I finished my shooting and got straight to editing , it was fun to use the skills i have been taught through out my year doing A-level media (this is my 2nd edit and I'm not finished ) it still a bit scrapy and need to silence some audio but decided to show you my progress so far.  one of my biggest challenges when doing this was the software adobe premier pro , i say this because i had to start over once which was not the best and took a while to get used to this newly updated software . it was just complicated but i was eventu ally able to get my grips around  the software this blog also helped me prepare for my exams in tv drama because i was able to name the edits we have been learning in class and use them effectively in my film like fades cuts , cross cuts , dip to black , dip from black and continues editing to give my film the feeling of more of a story than a movie .

 

Serial killers in  Horror  -killers are mentally challenged  -like to kill and kill a lot of people  -some wear masks to hide their identity but some just roam freely  -killer killing a female  -most or if not all horror serial killers were men  -loads of blood examples of horror movies with serial killers -  American psycho  scream  psycho  the silence of the lambs  origin of serial killers in horror  -some serial killers played in horror films are based of real life with actual people  Reflection :  i looked at a few serial killers and killers in some horror movies to take the main codes and conventions of a serial killer and apply it to my killer 

 Mise-en-scene  definition : The arrangement of the scenery . props e.t.c , on the stage of a theatrical production or on the set of a  film  what to look out for in the mise en scene : The character -  hair , makeup, clothing , build , body language e.t.c juxtaposition between characters  binary oppositions - Levi Strauss (costume :light vs dark , yellow vs red , white vs dark ) Props - accessories, weapons, gadgets , items e.t.c set - location , time of day , how the set is dressed , light e.t.c , the set id reflective of the themes within the narrative  narrative theory - Todorv  lighting - bight or dim , worm or cold , light or dark  purpose - setting up the episode or is it the finale  colour palettes  the more modern the film is the more vibrant the colours are  The mise-en-scene of a horror film is :  -dark  -gloomy  -scary  -non diegetic sound - -mid shot  -no diegetic sound  -close shot  -establishing shot -pov shot

He is most renowned for creating original movies with cutting-edge spooky themes and surprising conclusions.  The cumulative gross of his films exceeds $3.4 billion globally Shyamalan is an alumnus of  New York University Tisch School of the Arts  in  Manhattan ,  graduating in 1992. It was while studying there that he adopted "Night" as his second name. his films include  -Stuart little  -the last Airbender  -split  -knock at the cabin  -Glass -Devil
