Rocks
Rocks is a 2019 British coming-of-age drama film directed by Sarah Gavron.
Rocks premiered at the 2019 Toronto International Film Festival and was released in the United Kingdom on 18 September 2020. The film received acclaim from critics, and was nominated for seven awards at the 74th British Academy Film Awards, including Outstanding British Film
with a 75 per cent female crew.
Gavron and her producer Faye Ward eventually secured £3 million
The film was also shot chronologically, to help the inexperienced young actors get a sense of momentum within the story.
An audition process involving 1,300 girls followed and they were whittled down to a group of 10, who became key collaborators, including Bakray.
The film got a home premiere at the BFI London Film Festival
The U.K./Ireland theatrical release was followed by a Netflix premiere.

Reflection :
I really took inspiration from this film a they had a low budget , but also taught me about how this film was able to stream it on a big viewing platform like Netflix
