4 months of doing media studies so far 

So far over the first four months of this course I have really enjoyed the course more on the practical side than the theoretical side . i enjoy filming little stories and all the time i get to spend using the cameras and planning scenes 

So far i have noticed little changes when i watch movies as i start to analyze movies like im doing homework while just watching a movie casually 

Media studies has also helped me have a better look into movies showing me what the directors intende message is and realizing that directors rarely make mistakes so any thing in a movie that you might see and think is a mistake was most likely intended to be there by the director

I'm really enjoying the course right now and hope to create better films and scripts

  lighting in horror  low-key lighting  Horror movies frequently employ low-key lighting because of the effects it produces. The dark tone and shadows created by this lighting are appropriate for a horror movie; they increase anxiety because of the film's eerie, enigmatic mood and limit how much of the setting and people are revealed. Through the use of shadows and muted colours, it establishes the tenor, the mood, and a perilous relationship with mystery. (an example of low key lighting used in a film) high-key lighting  apart from low-key lighting horror producers can also use high key lighting , this helps to :  - The lights utilised produce a light hue and are particularly bright.  - To illuminate the entire scene, the lights are frequently placed high above.  - Because the lights are placed high above, they don't need to be changed, making it simple to film continuously.  - Makes use of several hot light sources (fluorescent soft lights)....

PRELIMINARY TASK - THE NIGHTMARE

  https://youtu.be/s0J972iUIjU This film was directed by me, and my wonderful classmate was behind the camera while I got to shout action at him , we had two wonderful actors with orson being our protagonist and Daniel woolam being our killer/Antagonist . it took us roughly about 2-3 weeks and many reshoots after but we were able to get all the shots we needed. After we had collected all our shots came to the hard part , the editing which was a little more difficult as we ran into some issues along the way but with a little guidance from Mr. Armstrong we were able to produce the best film we could  The story begins with the protagonist coming back form golf where we got 2 shots from different angles before he then enters his room and picks up a golf club and starts cleaning it after a long day at the course , he then moves to the bathroom to wash his hands before jumping straight into bed where he goes to sleep and has a bad dream about the killer chasing him down with the sam...
